Sengiri is the Japanese term for "cut into strips." Sengiri daikon is dried in the sun. The drying takes place only when the wind is cold so that the original sweet and soft flavor is preserved. Daeng Sengiri is delicious in sushi, miso soups or salads.
How to use:
Soak for ca 10 minutes (keep the soaking water), drain and briefly fry in oil. Cook in the soaking water for 10 minutes. Season with shoyu sauce, rice vinegar, mirin and ginger.
