Fill 2/3 of the pot with tea. Cover the pot with your hand and shake so that bigger tea parts fall to the bottom. Slant the tea pot so that tea falls on one side and start adding cold or hot water by small portions. The water should not be hotter than 70-80 degrees of Celsius, otherwise the tea will turn bitter. Add just enough water to moisten the tea. Wait for 2-3 minutes and let it soak. It should look like green porridge. Then insert the bombilla and fill the pot with warm water. Let it brew from 30 seconds to 2 minutes, not more. You can refill the pot with water 8 times. Each next pot is a little milder in taste.
