Description:

Numami Atlantic Kombu Baby Seaweed flakes are tender and have a sweet-and-salty aftertaste. Atlantic Kombu or Saccharina latissima is a brown alga which is in Europe also known as Sugar Kelp. Numami Atlantic Kombu is grown in North Atlantic in collaboration with Norwegian scientists. Kombu baby seaweed is harvested after 4 months and freeze-dried. Freeze-drying preserves all the vitamins and minerals and gives the seaweed a soft texture.

Numami Atlantic Kombu seaweed is ready to use, it does not need soaking or other preparations before using. Kombu is mostly used for seasoning salads, soups and bouillons. Kombu contains a natural glutamic acid which is a flavor enhancer and creates a natural umami-effect by giving your food a very special rounded taste.

Atlantic Kombu is a superfood, which is also known as a "king of seaweeds". It contains a lot of vitamins and minerals, but it has more Iodine than any other seaweed.
